2010 Fair theme: Fair's no place like home!

 

This year's fair will open in the Grandstands Wednesday, June 16th with Pepsi, Waterworks Park, Power 94 Kids Day:  HiRiseFMX, local xRiders will be performing a mixture of freestyle Motocross, BMX, and Mini Motorcycles.  Thursday come listen to the tunes from the 80's with The Fabulous Thunderbirds playing at 8 PM, dress circle seating is only $10.   Friday  Country Music Artist, Clay Walker, will be performing at 8 PM with dress circle seating only $15.  Saturday at 5 PM Auto Racing will feature the Late Models, Modifieds, Pro 4 Modifieds, Bombers, Mini Stocks, and the Legends.  We will wrap up the Grandstand entertainment on Sunday with the ever popular Demolition Derby as well as the halirious Hornets and this year Lawn Mower Races.

The Pepsi Stage will host a variety of local talent as well as the very popular Shasta Idol Contest nightly with the Finals on Sunday, be sure to come and support your favorite.  Hypnotist, Chris Mabrey, will hypnoise the audiance at 5 and 8 PM daily, maybe you want to participate.  Wednesday do miss the drawing at 6 PM for kids 12 and under, must be present to win.  Friday 7 PM we are very pleased to have aquired the Shasta Taiko Drummers from Mt. Shasta, if you haven't listened to them before this is a must.  Come watch your favorite little one or just come and cheer on all the little participants in the  Diaper Derby 2 PM. 

Our daily cooking contests at 7 PM in Trinity Hall include the following:  Wednesday, Fair-ly Beguiling BBQ - Thursday, Fair-ly Vivacious Vegetable Salad - Friday, Fairy-ly Favishing Ruby Red Velvet Cake - Saturday, Fair-ly Colorful Cobbler - Sunday Fair-ly Flavorful Fudge.  Want to be a judge give us a call at 378-6789.

Mt. Shasta Spring Water Stage will feature local bands throughout the week.  The Gazebo Stage will host a variety of local bands as well as other community acts such as Karate demonstrations, dancers, and a DJ.

Cooks Racing Pigs will be back on the Igo Schoolhouse lawn, come bet on your favorite pig.  Washboard Willy and Wanda will be entertaining you up and down Main Street.   Take a twirl on the Carnival rides, throw darts and pop balloons, or just come visit friends you haven't seen since last fair.

Come see who won the Blue Ribbons in Trinity and Fusaro Halls on the jams, jellies, quilts, vegetables, fruit, pictures, etc.
